Chief Executive Officer

 

Gaboardi USA, LLC. seeks applicants for a Chief Executive Officer position to work in the Athens, Ohio area.

 

Job Description and Job Duties

 

Directing and coordinating through supervisory personnel the organization’s financial and budget activities in order to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency;  directing, planning, and implementing policies, objectives, and activities of organization or business in order to ensure continuing operations, to maximize returns on investments, and to increase productivity;  conferring with board members, organization officials, and staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, and resolve problems;  analyzing the operations to evaluate performance of the company and the staff in meeting the company’s objectives;  directing the budgetary goals, including those for funding and implementation of programs;  overseeing the negotiation of contracts and agreements with all our suppliers, distributors, federal and state agencies, and other organizational entities, while having the final word on their acceptance; maintaining a follow-up system that encourages follow through with assigned projects;  establishing personal performance goals that are consistent with company standards of productivity and devising strategies to meet those goals;  reviewing and approving cost-effective advertising programs and merchandising strategies;  hiring of all management positions, completing performance evaluations regularly and developing short and long-term goals for each department manager;  providing corporate management with weekly reports on the financial condition of management;  overseeing standards for merchandising wood products as well as reviewing and initiating all promotions before they are finalized; reviewing all requests for training, approving and mandating those which are appropriate and consistent with the corporation’s goals for professional/technical ability and advancement, and monitoring their effectiveness;  communicating management policies and procedures to all employees and ensuring that they are understood and followed; and planning headquarter/branch/warehouse expansion operations for the coming year and submitting to the board for approval.

 

Special Requirements

 

Must have a Master’s Degree in Business Management or Business Administration and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as a Director. In addition, five (5) years of experience must have included all of the following:

  • Conferring with board members, organization officials, and staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, and resolve problems;
  • Overseeing the negotiation of contracts and agreements with all our suppliers, distributors, federal and state agencies, and other organizational entities, while having the final word on their acceptance; and
  • Establishing personal performance goals that are consistent with company standards of productivity and devising strategies to meet those goals.
  • Managing manufacturing costs, marketing, and research and development of novelty ice cream products.
